Allergens & FAQ
Allergens
- What are your cookies made with?
- Every cookie is made with gluten-free, dairy-free & egg-free ingredients.
- What if I have celiac disease or a severe allergy?
- Our cookies are made in a home kitchen that processes wheat & other allergens. All cookies are prepared in a shared kitchen and are not guaranteed to be free from cross-contact. If you have celiac disease or a severe allergy, please reach out with your questions before you order. mysafehavenbakery@gmail.com
- Are any flavors free of the top 9 allergens?
- Some of our flavors are made with ingredients free from the top 9 allergens, but not all of them, so ask us about a specific flavor. Anchor & Tide contains peanut and soy, and Maple Dune contains pecans.
- What does “cottage food operation” mean?
- We’re a cottage bakery: we bake in our home kitchen in Kennesaw, GA. Georgia’s cottage food rules require this statement on product labels: “MADE IN A COTTAGE FOOD OPERATION THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO STATE FOOD SAFETY INSPECTIONS.”
